let's not exaggerate句子主语，冒号里都是宾语从句，而宾语从句里science and engineering are not the new Comp lit or philosophy 是句子主语，后面接的都是非限定性定语从句。
for 介词 倾向于，为了从事。。。
philosopy后面的部分是非限定性定语从句
your parents practically 这部分充当的是结果状语从句
里面还有一个so .....that 句型。。。 其中省略了that。。。。
