2. Using a discount rate of 8%, solve for the following:
a) You estimate that the terminal value of your firm will be based on free cash flows of $1,500 per year forever growing at 6% per year. The initial $1,500 cash flow will be received at the end of 2012. How much is this terminal value worth today (year end 2008)?
b) A project costs $3,000 today and is expected to yield 10 annual cash flows growing at 3% each year. The first cash flow is $1,000 received two years from today. What is the project’s NPV?
