there are times when lying is acceptable.

There is a kind of lie that is considered to be acceptable. That's a white lie. People tell white lies in the interest of others and will probably not be blamed. However, I don't think there are differences between a white lie and a common lie. Lying is not acceptable at any time.

One of the most important reasons is that telling lies causes the lier lose others' trust. In many cases, people have to tell another lie to cover up the previous one. Thus, nobody can ensure that all the lies are white lies. When other people find out that they are cheated, they may not believe in that person again. He end up losing trust of people, even though his purpose is good in the first place.

Besides, no secret can hide forever. Sometimes, people will lie to their families or relatives about some bad news.They don't want them to suffer. However, is it possible that they can hide the truth forever? And have they taken it into account that the person may be sadder after finding the truth. The right way is to tell the truth under any circumstance and let the person decide how to handle it.

What's more, telling lies may lead to some social problems. There is an example of a fake photo that won award worldwide. It turned out to be an artifical photo. People began to cast doubts on the authority of the award and morality of photographers. And in a period of time, people lost interest in appreciating some magnificent photos that is real.

Whether put in the context of interpersonal relations or social impact, telling lies, good or bad, is not acceptable. It may not only ruin a person's reputation or cause more suffering to others but also bring social problems to some extent.

1 既然是讲white lie 那么第四段就有些不对题意，建议删去改成与文章主题相关的。
2 第23段为具体论证，应该举出有说服力的实证例子，可以举自己的，可以是有名的历史事件，你的虽说也举例了，可是很笼统不具体，难得高分。
