英语语法问题！

我在BBC新闻里看到这么一句话：
He said the four biggest eurozone leaders had，he said“made the prospect for the growth much more concrete”，asking whether anyone would have imagined a few weeks ago that the idea of growth would be on the agenda of the EU summit.
这句话，语法分析的话，是不是中间插入语不看，had 接asking啊？？？但是如果是这样的话，语法不就有问题吗？had doing..这是啥句型。。。汗，。。

如果看不懂我说的。。。直接把这句话帮我语法分析一下。谢谢。

这句话的插入语实际上是第二个he said, 可以删去不要。句子的基本结构就是：
He said the four biggest eurozone leaders had made the prospect for the growth much more concrete.
后半句asking whether anyone would have imagined a few weeks ago that the idea of growth would be on the agenda of the EU summit. 是一个现在分词短语，作状语，表伴随。即：本句话的谓语是said, 伴随动作是asking: “他说...同时问道...”

那为什么明明可以写成你这样，他非要写成2段，然后一段不用引号，一段用引号？？

前面作者用了间接引语，后面又用了直接引语。

我觉得很可能呀，我们平时也会这样的。如：
他让我们四个，他说“必须马上回教室”。

这样看来还不错。。强调的是后面。。。这样懂了。。。但是第一次知道还可以这样让had 和PP 分开。。。。。汗。。

He 是主语said是谓语 后面是宾语从句 the four biggest eurozone leaders是宾从主语 had与后面的made 一起构成过去完成时作宾从的谓语，he said是插入语“made与前面的had一起构成宾从的谓语 the prospect for the growth 是宾从的宾语much more concrete是宾从宾语的宾补
后面是现在分词短语 作宾从的伴随状语，asking whether anyone would have imagined a few weeks ago that the idea of growth would be on the agenda of the EU summit.

把 he said 和引号 去掉 就是 had made

"He said the four biggest eurozone leaders had"是与前面的内容有联系吧，had某物。而asking是“and he ask"的省略吧。
