There is an old story about a young boy. He wanted to win any running race. One day the boy took part in a running race in his village .A large crowd came to watch. Among the crowd was a wise old man.
The race began. They were running fast, but the boy gave all out and came first. The crowd cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man said nothing at all. The little boy felt proud and important.
A second race was called. The little boy again beat all the others. The crowd cheered and waved at the boy. The old man, again, said nothing at all. The little boy, again, felt proud and important.
Now the little boy was looking forward to other races. This time there were two new runners, an elder lady and a blind man, who were led by the wise man. “This is no race!” the little boy cried. “Race!” ordered the wise man. The boy won the race and felt a little excited. The crowd, however, didn’t cheer this time.
“Why don’t the people look at my success?” he asked the wise old man. “Race again.” answered The wish man, “about this time, finish together.” The little boy thought a little, and then took the hands of the blind man and the old lady. The race began and the little boy walked slowly to the end. The crowd was excited and cheered and waved at the boy. The wise man smiled. The little boy felt, again, proud and important.
