第二题首先要注意的是分式的表达“序数词+基数词”，其次这不是一个比较语句，故B，C错，thick为形容词，在此不适合，故A错

第一题：看这道题，首先知道填的是非谓语，而且（1）应该是被动的；（2）相对于谓语is而言，应该是过去式。所以CD排除，而A不能同时满足两个条件，故排除。
第二题：the…of，构成名词短语。
