I got up early and helped my mother cook breakfast. Then I washed the dishes and cleaned the room. At nine o'clock I went shopping with my parents by car. There was traffic jam so the car moved slowly. It took us about an hour to get to Wumart. We bought lots of food and drink because Spring Festival was coming. In the afternoon I visited my friends and payed table tennis with them. I surfed the internet and read books in the evening. I didn't go to bed until half past ten. What a meaningful day !

2.Traffic is not of too much concerns in our city. I think it is because of the size of our city. I heard traffics in those big cities are terrible in rush hours; however, fortunately, it doesn't seem like a problem here. Lately, a lot of construction areas in downtown slow the traffic down a little bit, but they are scheduled to be finished in September. After the constructions, we will have a safer road condition in downtown area. I believe this will reduce the number of car accidents in our city and thus improve the traffic efficiency.

I love sports. Basketball is my favourite. There are three major reasons why I love playing it. Firstly, it is a team game. I can play basketball together with my friends. It helps to bond our friendship. I enjoy my friends’ support during a game. The second reason why I love playing basketball is that it helps my body to grow. I have lost weight and become taller after learning to play basketball. Lastly, I love the sense of achievement after winning a game or reaching a goal I once set for myself.
