第一题应该是He tells me that his father ahd died and that he lived alone.是一个tell引导的两个宾语从句，当用and连接两个宾语从句的时候第二个that不可省，为避免引起误解到底是另外一个句子还是宾语从句
第二题。。。这个，应该还是宾语从句，别说天天这么用得挺顺利，讲起来一时还真有点晕到底是宾语宾语从句还是同位语从句，it 是形式宾语，后面that 引导的从句才是真正的宾语
第三题，You can not imagine how excited they were when....我觉得没什么好讲的就是直译啊你有什么问题咩，
第四题是that, 表语从句，呃，应该不用解释吧
第五题，that，同位语从句，后面是一个完整的句子所以作news的同位语
第六题，呃继续是that,理由同上，做news的同位语，
第七题，that/which/不填，tell sb. sth. ，tell的固定搭配是双宾，所以后面的句子不完整，that/which引导定语从句，news是he told me 的宾语，而当先行词做宾语时引导词可以省略
第八题，同第七题，大同小异，成份是一样的，that/which,引导定语从句
第九题，that,引导同位语从句，后面是个完整的句子，做news的同位语

你给的例句好像是同位语从句居多，如果要和定语从句区分，那就看看后面那个句子是不是一个完整的句子就好啦～～

判断是同位语从句还是定语从句就是要看从句缺不缺成分 比如以上的tell sb sth 缺了sth 就是定语从句 当然一般填that都是对的 但是也有特殊情况 同位语从句也是可以用whether引导的

is that是主句的表语 ___he told me 这个修饰的是主语the news 缺了sth 所以是定语从句

what可以用在名词性从句 即宾语从句，表语从句，主语从句等 不能用在定语从句和同位语从句中
如果这不是定语从句或者同位语从句 是可以用what的 因为缺了sth
句子的主干是 the news is that ....

无论填哪个答案，整个句子的主干是The news is that.......后面这个that由于接在be动词后，所以被称做表语从句，而我们要填的部分是对news的修饰限定，是他告诉我的秘密，不是别人告诉的，这就是起了限定的作用，对名词起修饰限定作用的就是定语了，所以此句中间的部分是定语从句。一般来说填引导次主要是看从句是否缺少什么成分，如何看从句缺少什么部分那就需要将从句与先行次连接起来，那这句便是 He told me the news，可以看出，从句缺少的是宾语。
至于同位语从句和定语从句的区别在与前者是对先行词的内容的解释而后者是修饰限定。希望你满意。
