一般现在时的There be， 表示现在某地有某人或某物。
Eg. 1) There is a book on the desk.桌子上有一本书。
There is not a book on the desk.桌子上没有书。
Is there a book on the desk?桌子上有一本书吗？
Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t.有。/没有。
2) There are some children in the classroom.教室里有一些孩子。
There are not any children in the classroom.教室里没有孩子。
Are there any children in the classroom?教室里有孩子吗？
Yes, there are./ No, there aren’t.有。/没有。
注意：There be结构的be用单数或是用复数,要看离be最近的名词，它是单数就用单数is，如果它是复数就用复数are。
Eg. There is a book, a bag and three pencil-boxes on the chair.
