ORIGIN: the exact origin of April Fool's Day isn't known, but many think it began in France around 1582 with the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar, which is the most widely used calendar today. In previous calendars, New Year's Day was between March 25 and April 1. Many people refused to change the New Year's celebration day and were dubbed "fools." They were sent on "fool errands," sent invitations to nonexistent parties and had other practical jokes played on them.
April 1 is the Western Folk Festival April Fool's day, also known as April Fool's day. There are different opinions on its origin: one view holds that the custom originated from the "hermeneutic Festival" in India.
According to the regulations of the festival, on the day of March 31 every year, regardless of men, women, old and young people, they can play jokes and fool each other to get entertainment.
The more common claim is that it originated in France. In 1564, France first adopted the newly reformed calendar, the Gregorian calendar, which began on January 1 and changed the calendar that used to start on April 1.
In the process of implementing the new calendar, some conservative people objected that the reform still followed the old calendar and refused to update it.
They still give gifts to each other on April 1 and organize activities to celebrate the new year. Those who advocate reform scoff at the practices of these conservatives. Smart and funny people give fake gifts to die hards on April 1, invite them to holiday celebrations, and call these fooled "April Fools" or "hooked fish".
Later, they fooled each other on this day, which became a popular custom in France. The festival spread to England in the 18th century and was later brought to the United States by early British immigrants.
At first, any American can concoct shocking news without any moral or legal responsibility, neither will the government nor the judiciary. On the contrary, Whoever fabricates the most bizarre and deceptive lies will win the crown.
This kind of practice brings a lot of confusion to the society, thus arousing people's dissatisfaction. People's deception during the festival is no longer as outrageous as in the past, but for the purpose of relaxation and joy.
