SHE stared in the mirror. She was not seeing the reflection that looked back at her because she was lost in a world of memories. In a second she was back. The reflection in the mirror confused her. She thought it was her mother looking back at her. But as reality sank in, she realized that it was her own reflection.
Gone was her beauty spot (美人痣) and in its place she saw a mole (痣). Gone were the dimples (酒窝) that once appeared on her cheeks. Where had they gone, she thought to herself? When did those wrinkles (皱纹) appear on her face and where did they come from?
