We live in a beautiful world, with countless wonders. Here, I will talk about just a few of them.
Have you seen the majestic statue of Zeus at Olympia? As one of the seven wonders of the world, it stands 39 feet tall, and its massive size fills up almost half of the width of the aisle of the temple that houses it.
Or perhaps you have heard of the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the three largest pyramids built in ancient Egypt.
The hanging gardens of Babylon is a wonder of the ancient world, meaning that it may have been purely legendary, a myth.
Another wonder would be the Colosseum. Standing right smack in the heart of Rome, Italy, it is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering.
Lastly, how can we forget our own wonder, the Great Wall of China? So magnificently big, that it is the only human-made structure that can be seen from space!
