Dear editor,
Im writing to you to tell you about the discussion we recently had about whether the Internet is helpful or harmful. Much as the Internet has influenced our life, people’s opinions about the Internet still vary from person to person.
Some people insist that nothing can substitute for the Internet nowadays. For one reason, it is the Internet that makes our communication more convenient when the pace of modern life is rather faster than ever before. Furthermore, Internet provides us with so much information to download that we can save valuable time which is used to search for what we need. Also, we can do many other things on the Internet such as shopping, booking ticket, playing interesting games and so on.
Everything has two sides and the Internet is no exception. Some people say, what can not be denied is that the radiation caused by computers indeed does harm to people’s health when people are surfing the Internet. What’s more many a student overuses the computer and has been obsessed with the games played on the Internet, as a result of which both the grades and the eyesight are brought down. Thus we cannot emphasize the importance of using computers reasonably too much.
All in all, there is no simple answer to the question whether the Internet is good or not. But, one thing is for sure, the Internet has been a part of our daily life, and it will be further improved in near future.
