什么时候要加ING什么时候不加啊？都要晕了。

3.Although both birds are known for their distinctive songs, but the rufous songlark has a sweeter song than has the brown songlark. Although both怎么错了？

4.For years historians claimed that pasta was introduced to Europe around 1295; however, archaeologists have uncovered what appears to be pasta-making devices that date back even earlier. 为什么What appears to be有错误？

because是连词，说明后面是一个完整的句子，所以要用动词的限定式，就是说得用谓语动词，而不是现在分词
第二个句子中that后面是从句，而acclaimec 不是位于动词，而是过去分词，整个句子缺谓语，所以要用consists
第三个句子是although 和but不能连用的
第四个句子，devices是复数，所以要用appear

1 用一般现在时adapt------强调一种现象和能力
2 用consists, 因为consist没有进行时时态。
3 though / although 与but在同一个并列句子组合裏面只能出现一个
4 pasta-making devices复数概念的主语，所以appears必须是appear-----也变成复数的谓语动词。
