The safety switch on the slitter monitors the slitting process. If the web is not slit, it actuates the lever on the safety switch. The basket motor is thus inhibited, the blade motor switched off and the production machine switched off via the "system on stand-by" contact to be connected by the customer so that no further web is supplied.
With the optionally available command station RE 1721 the slitting point may be offset in automatic mode. The slitting point may be offset electrically by up to ±5 mm.
