In 2010, China was the largest trading partner of Australia, accounting for 19.7% of the value of the top ten trading parnters, close to a share of one fifth. In which, the trading of goods accounted 93.55% of the total traded value, while service trading only accounted 6.45%. There for the trading of goods dominated the Chna-Australia trading.
Figure 1 shows, China was in a trading deficit postion, i.e., the export from China to Australia was smaller than the import from Australia, and the growth rate of the export was also smaller than that of the import. This is mainly because that Australia is rich in natual resources such as minerals and petroleum, while Chine needs such raw materials in its industrial and social developments.

China was the biggest trading partner of Australia on 2010 and taking 19.7% of total trading amount among top ten trading partners, it's almost one fifth of the total share. The merchandise trade was taking 93.55% of the amount of Sino-Australian trade, the service trade was only taking 6.45%, so the Sino-Australian trade is oriented by merchandese trade.

From chart 1 we can see, China is in trade deficit with Australia, which means China has less export than import, the increasing speed of export is also slower than import, this is mainly because of the abundant resource of mineral products and petroleum in Australia, which is needed by Chinese industry and social construction.

As the largest trading partner of Australia in 2010, China took up nearly one-fifth (19.7%) of Australia's trade volume with its top ten trading partners, with 93.55% going to commodity trade whereas only 6.45% to service trade. This shows that Sino-Australian trade is centered on commodity trade.
As shown in Chart 1, China has a trade deficit over Australia, i.e., China exports less than it imports from Australia while the export isn't growing as fast as import. It is mainly caused by the fact that Australia boasts abundant mineral and petroleum resources , which are urgently demanded in China's industry and infrastructure construction.

China is Australia 's largest trading partner in 2010 , accounting for 19.7% of Australia's top ten trading partner country 's total trade reached nearly one fifth of the share . And Australia share of merchandise trade in these trade volume reached 93.55%, only 6.45% of the trade in services , can be seen in Australia 's trade in merchandise trade . We can see from Figure 1 , Australia 's trade status in the trade deficit with the status that Chinese exports less than imports , and exports less than imports growth rate , which was mainly due to the rich mineral resources in Australia these raw materials and oil resources , China 's industrial and social construction needs

The year of 2010 witnessed China to become the largest trading partner of Australia, for China accounted for 19.7% of the total trade volume of the top ten trading partners of Australia and enjoys nealy one fifth of all the shares of trading, among which, however, commodity trading made up 93.55% of the whole with only 6.45% of labour exchange proportion, which shows the Sino-Australian trade focuses on commodity exchange.
As is seen from Diagram One, China has had infavourable imbalance during its trade with Australia, with the export volume smaller than the import volume and besides that, China's export oriented to Australia has experienced slower increase than its import from Australia, for which the main reason is that Austalia is rich in mineral resources and crude oil, all of which are necessary and important raw materials for China's industrialization and socialist construction.
