My father has been dead for ten years. (不能说has died或has passed away)
He has been away for ten minutes. (不能说has left)
The file has been open for ten minutes. (不能说I have opened up the file for ten minutes.)
He has had the car for one year. (不能用has bought)
I have been up for ten hours. (不能说have gotten up)
I have learned English for more than ten years. (不能说have started to learn English)
Mom has been married to Dad for a decade. (不能说Mom has married Dad for a decade.)

把begun改成been on

When we got there, the movie had been on for almost twenty minutes.或
When we got there, the movie had begun almost twenty minutes before.
When we got there, the movie had been on for almost twenty minutes.或
When we got there, the movie had begun almost twenty minutes before.
