这是我第一次面对您说英语，我想也许也是最后一次了。我想我的英语水平，您也是很了解。好了，我开始了。 活了二十二年了碰上了50年一遇的旱灾，60年一遇的雪灾，100年一遇的洪涝，300一年一遇的泥石流，500年一遇的地震，600年一遇的海啸，还有什么日食月食流星雨..我们90后迎着非典上小学， 踏着禽流感上初中， 冒着甲流上高中， 现在走进社会， 又说2012世界未日…哎！ 我们90后也算活得轰轰烈烈了
听起来，经历的场面都挺浩大的。其实这些经历只占到了我们生命的一小部分，很小很小。从学业上来讲我的22年是失败的，尤其是英语——说实话我个人并不认为英语是一门学问，我认为它只是一种交流工具。也是国家要与发达国家接轨的必不可少的交流工具，当然每个人的想法是不同的，我也很喜欢西方的民主文化，神话故事。说了这么多，其实我想说的是我，我们不能在懒惰下去了，社会不会得到老师的照顾。吊车尾会被社会淘汰，我会努力……
也希望多年以后看到您，听到——你，段超然，倒数第一排，上课不学习。成绩极差，考试都是在老师的帮助下考过的。。。 我认为这很温馨。

It is the first i talked to you in English, and i think it is the last time. As you know, my English is poor, but i still want to speak. I have lived 22 years, during this period, i have experienced 1-in-50 years drought disaster, 1-in-60 years snow damage, 1-in-100 years flood, 1-in-300 years debris flow, 1-in-500 years big earthquake, 1-in-600 years tidal wave and so many what we called solar eclipse and lunar eclipse and meteor shower. As one of the members of 90s, i went to primary school when SARS broke out. When i was a junior high school students, bird flu erupted. Then, as i came to high school, H1N1 influenza raged in the world. Today, i step into the society, it is said that the last day of the world is coming. Oh! My god! How impressive what we 90s experienced are. However, i really know what i have told just now is a small part of my life, so small it is. In my school work, i fail myself, especially when i learned English. To be honest, i don’t think English should be learned as a course, instead, it should be a tool of communication using in the world. Of course it is just my own opinion. I like some fairy stories and the democratic culture in western.
In conclusion, what i want to say is we should be hard-working, because we will not rely on our teachers any more since we stepped into society. If you don’t want to be abandoned by society, you have to work hard.
I wish you could still say to me after a few years,hei, guy, i was you, Duan Chaoran, who has been sit in the last line and never paid attention to my lesson. It is my kindness to let you pass the exam. How warmth it is!

Since you konw what my English is like, I assume this will be my first, and also, the last time I talk to you in English. So far in my 22-year-old life, I have come accross a series of disastrous events : the drought that never happens in the past 50 years, the snow damage in 60 years, the flood in a hundred years, the debris flow in 300 years, the earthquake in 600 years together with some sort of eclipses of either sun or moon and metero shower. We, as the youth group born after 1990, were accompanied by SARS, Bird Flu, HINI respectively in our elementary, middle and high school, and now we have to be encountered by the so called 2012 Dooms Day...Well, isn't it a restless or even a ferocious life we have had?
All thoes events are actully counted small in our life even if they sound big. Speaking about my 22-year life, it is a failure,my English in particular-----you know, I don't actually see English as a learning subject like math or physics but a communication tool connecting people of different countries, and of course people hold different views about this issue and I do love western democratics and the myth stories. Well, what I am trying to say is ww can't afford to be sloth like this any longer since your care nowhere to be found in society and anyone who fall behiend will be eleminted in this system。 So I will try harder.
I hope I can see you a couple of years later since I do take your criticism as something sweet "Duanchaoran, you littile asshole sitting in the last row, with the stinkest attitude, worest grades, and the teacher's help to get your exam passed....."
