Recently, many students and parents have pointed out that students in many foreign countries are allowed to use calculators, and they also seek for the permission of the usage of calculators during examinations. I have to acknowledge that using calculators have bring about some benefits. It is convenient to use calculators. What students only need to do is pressing calculators to obtain the values and results. It can increase the speed and hence efficiency of answering the questions. It also helps them to obtain better results for various examinations. On the other hand, I do disagree that students should use calculators. Mental calculation is an excellent ability and capability of students. In the future, when they have face real challenges, they do not have calculators for most of the time. They have to use their mental calculation to solve those problems. Hence, preparing them for future challenges is beneficial to themselves and to their country. (155字)
