　　太原市第五中学校，简称“太原五中”，座落在太原市经济文化最繁华的迎泽区青年路中段，与风光绮丽、景色宜人的迎泽公园相邻。学校占地面积4.3万平方米，总建筑面积4万余平方米。是山西省首批重点中学。

　　太原五中是一所具有光荣革命传统的学校。共产党人高君宇和老一辈无产阶级革命家彭真等，都曾在这里就读，中共山西省第一个党小组、第一个党支部都从这里诞生。

　　Overview of the Affiliated High School of Shanxi University

　　The Affiliated High School of Shanxi University (abbreviated to SDFZ ), among the first batch of key high schools in Shanxi Province, was founded in 1955. It started as The School for Cadres’Children in Taihang Military Region and Taiyue Military Region, which moved to Taiyuan later. In 1963, the school was accredited as one of the provincial key high schools. In 1985, it undertook the Program of Supporting Tibetan Education assigned to Shanxi Province and set up The Inland Tibetan Class. Later in 1999, SDFZ established Shanxi Zhida Experimental School. From 2000 onwards,with the ratification of the provincial and municipal educational administrative departments, the school started Hongzhi Class for impoverished but diligent students,Experimental Class for Minorities,and Science Experimental Class enrolled throughout the province. To date, SDFZ has approximately 4,200 registered students, including 6 grades,with the staff and faculty of 271 people among whom are 223 full-time as well as part-time teachers and 74 senior teachers.

　　Situated in Wucheng District of Taiyuan, the location of dozens of colleges and scientific research institutes of the capital of Shanxi Province, SDFZ covers an area of 80,000 square meters with the favourable humanist environment. The campus, an elegant-design and user-friendly, is digitalized with the aid of such teaching facilities as internet and multimedia.

　　In the long period of schooling practice, SDFZ has gradually formed the principles of people-centered and sustained development, advocated the combination of science and humanity and held esteem for both social commitment and erudition.
