My Shanghai Trip
I’ll never know why I was so afraid of the height, or rather, acrophobia. We (dad and I) bought our tickets, and head off to the lift.
This building must have earned loads of money. I dare to say, as even the lift was rather glorious room for the president with light shinning.
In seconds, we were on the 94th floor, taking pictures with great excitement—I had never been on a 94th floor gazing at any city.
But I realized that I was a little scared of the height. We kept going as I checked my watch: 5:10. “Good!” I thought,”20 minutes left. Then I can go back to the ground which is safe to me.”
5 minutes passed, as I took the elevator to 97th floor. Now I was really afraid because of the height. So dad dragged me to the lift upstairs.
On the 100th floor, I was totally horrified as I looked at the glass-made floor, glass-made walls, and cellings. But I’d got to take pictures. So I began with the Huangpu River.
Meanwhile, dad wanted to go to the toilet. But as the time passed, I began to shiver with fear. I tried to only take photos or closed my eyes, but it was all in vane.
After 20 minutes or more, dad finally came back.
But when he saw my odd look, he saw something. So he asked in a funny voice: You’ve got MA~~~D? Then burst into a laugh, and tried to control his voice, saying: Well, I don’t thing it’s good to get a acrophobia, right?
I was angry with him but I didn’t loose my temper. He was silent in the end, thought, maybe because I didn’t talk much.
After meeting Kitty and her mom in a hotpot chain store, I ate as much as I could to retire from this frightening experience.
Now, I actually appreciate this trip for it gave me the nice view at that top floor. I saw so much wonderful scene I’d never seen. And I really fancy the idea of going back to the place which has made me scare before.
