One can find their boy/girl friend by:

1. Meeting some one with same company, colleage

2. Meeting someone in friends' gathering, party

3. Meeting someone with friends' friends

4. Meeting someone through internet, online chatting

5. Meeting someone that introduced by relatives, friends etc

6. blind date with some strangers

7. Meeting someone in some hobby classes

The last one should be the best. As to be life partner, it is important to have communciation with each other. To have a good communication, they should have same interest, hobby so that they same some topics to share with. Besides, people with same hobby will always have similar personality and creates less conflict with each other.
