Which will you choose if you get to know that your closest person has got a cancer and he can even never be cured, tell him the truth and make him worry about it all the time or tell him it is just a cold?
Honesty maybe the most important thing in our daily life but we have to tell the lies on special time.
Truth is a high dream that we always look forward to, but it is just a beautiful dream. We cannot live happily without a lie. When I fail in an important examination, I am sad the whole day and I go back home, in order to get some courage from my parents, but they just complained about how silly I am and blame me of my carelessness. I think it is quite terrible and I prefer hearing some words that can encourage me though they may not what my parents really think of.
The other reason is lies can help us avoid some unnecessary hurt. For example, you met your ex-girlfriend in the street and you had a cup of coffee with her and enjoy a great afternoon. But when you got home and your girlfriend asked you why you were late. Will you tell her the truth or just tell her that you were playing DOTA in the office and had forgotten the time at all? Another example, if you were beaten by your classmate at school. When your parents ask why you face black and blue, how will you explain? Therefore, lies sometimes are useful and important.
