如果as在这个句子里，这个句子就不是一个非限制性定语从句。as it turned out...as引导的是一个方式状语从句，‘正如’的意思，it指后来发生的事情。

如果一定要用as引导非限定性定语从句，要去掉it, 应该是as turned out,it was an Italian movie.=it was an Italian movie，as turned out。as指代前面那个主句，做定语从句的主语。其实这种表达语法上貌似可以，但是不是普遍用法，我只是为了帮楼主分析语法才这样写的，这个句子怎么看都怪怪的。
