MY New Year’s Resolution is not to sleep for the whole year!
If I didn’t sleep， then I would be able to do things for eight hours more everyday. This would mean I would have 2920 more hours to spend in a year! With 2920 more hours every year I could go skiing down the Himalayas (喜马拉雅山脉)， find the Lost City in the Malaysian Jungle (马来西亚丛林)， talk to the Chinese Yeti (雪人[传说生活在喜马拉雅山上的一种动物，有可能是熊])， or abseil down the Shanghai World Finance Centre. All at night！
There would be some bad things about my resolution. I might miss bedtime stories. My old favourite is the story of Yeh Shen (Cinderella). I might also miss my teddy. And poor Mr. Cuddles will miss me. He will be all alone at the bottom of my bed. Hang on! I am too old for teddies or bedtime stories. I don’t think there are any bad things about not going to bed!
But I will have to invent a machine to make me feel fresh everyday and that might take long. OH NO！ New Year’s Day is tomorrow! Also， I am very tired now and my bed looks very cosy. Oh well， It looks like I have failed another New Year’s Resolution!
