The cock said to the fox,"Mr Fox,do you understand?The people say you are carrying their cock away.Tell them it is yours.Not theirs.'' The fox opened his mouth and said,"The cock is mine,not yours.''Just then the cock ran away from the fox and fled into the tree.

Long long ago, in ancient China, there lived a farmer .He was worried about his seeding growing too slowly .
One day ,he went to the farmland and pulled up the seeding one by one .When he returned home ,he was very exhausted."I am tired out today，”he said to his family ,"I helped the seeding to grow."
His son was surprised . He hurried to the fields to see what had happened .It turned out that all the seeding had shriveled up.

一天，他到田里把秧苗一个一个地拔了起来，当他回到家时，十分兴奋，“我今天很累，”他对家人说到，“我再帮秧苗长大。”

The monkeys and the moon
One day, a little monkey is playing by the well. He looks in the well and shouts :“Oh! My god! The moon has fallen into the well!” An older monkey runs over, takes a look, and says, “Oh! The moon is really in the water!” A group of monkeys run over to the well . They lookat the moon in the well and shout: “The moon did fall into the well! Come on! Let’s get it out!” Then, the oldest monkey hangs on the tree with his feet on the branch. And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands. All the other monkeys follow each other one by one down to the moon in the well. Just before they reach the moon, the oldest monkey raises his head and sees the moon in the sky. He shouts“Don’t be so foolish! The moon is still in the sky!”

It happened that a Dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now, on his way home he had to cross a plank lying across a running brook. As he crossed, he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was another dog with another piece of meat, he made up his mind to have that also. So he made a snap at the shadow in the water, but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out, dropped into the water and was never seen more.

狗和它的影子
狗衔着一块肉过河，望见自己在水里的影子，以为是另外一只狗衔着一块更大的肉。他于是放下自己这块肉，冲过去抢那块。结果，两块肉都没有了。那一块没捞到，因为本来就没有，这一块也被河水冲走了。
