Our Sick Earth Our mother Earth is sick; she has fever and is coughing polluted air! Why? It is because of us
of man-kind. Allow me to explain this in three ects
air pollution
water pollution and land pollution. Firstly
on air pollution. Because of industrial developments
we hum built lots of factories
burn fossil fuels in electric power plants and always use trportation vehicles such as cars and airplanes. All these activities are emitting air pollutants and greenhouse gases. That is why air around us is tainted and our earth is heating up. Secondly
on water pollution. Chemicals and toxic waste from factories and household sewage are ill-treated before dumping into the sea
pesticides and fertilizers will sip in nearby lakes too. Besides
oil spills from ships contaminates the sea. Sadly
the consequences are huge. Fish
coral-reefs
dolphins and many other marine lives will be poisoned and die
the food chain will be broken. Most importantly
water pollution cannot be cleared in a short time
sea water will flow to other places so the affected area is massive. See how the oce of our earth get sick too? Thirdly
on land pollution. Similar to above
pesticides and fertilizers will sip in the soil too
this will make the soil poisonous. We always litter
tons of rubbish is produced. This will make a huge burden on landfills. Some rubbish are toxic and hard to depose. Even the land of our Earth is polluted. Our Earth is now so sick because of our developments. The air is tainted
the water is dirty
the land is filthy… And we
who are the ones who caused all these
have the responsibility to take care of the place we are living in. We have to heal it
fast; and take actions
