但是高体能消耗会导致刘伟免疫力下降并因此患上病，他不得不放弃自己的运动生涯，19岁时刘伟喜欢上了音乐，他买来乐理方面的书籍，自己学习，刘伟爱上了用双脚弹钢琴，他没有参加最后的考试，没有上大学，他确定了自己要走音乐这条道路。

Though losing both arms, he never give up hopes, and he uses his feet as hands to take care of himself. Liu Wei had begun to study hard since then. Two years later, he went back to class, and he got a good grade which ranked the third of the class at the final exams. One day, Liu Wei met a person who also lost his arms and made a important difference of Liu Wei’s life. This person introduced and helped Liu Wei to join in the disable swimming team. With a technical and systemic training, Liu Wei learned hard, and finally a miracle was created without both arms--Liu Wei won a gold medal in Paralympic Games in 2008.
Unfortunately, overloaded physical exhaustion declined Liu Wei’s immunity and led to disease. And he had to stop his swimming career. Liu Wei fell in love with music at the age of 19. He bought musical books and study by himself. He used his toes as fingers to play the piano. Liu Wei quitted from school because was so in love with music that he made a decision of being a full time musician.
