为什么英语名著里面有些词牛津高阶上没有？难道是古代英语吗？麻烦哪位高手帮我查一下下面的词 要英文解释的
giveth,bis,physick,hosier,shew,hogshead,expence,durst,signet,dawb,nourish,to be tyed中的tyed,rouze,wherewith,buildeth,girt,pully,soporiferious
还有为什么感觉里面有些语法有错误?比如把动词或者形容词用作名词的?难道这是各国作者的惯用手法?
还有,如果你们查到了可不可以给我说在哪查的啊?推荐一下.

bis应该是twice “两次，再度”的意思、
physick 意思有doctor or treat治疗的意思。
hosier：a tradesman who sells hosiery and (in England) knitwear 英文姓氏也有叫Hosier
shew就是show的古英语
hogshead：1. a British unit of capacity for alcoholic beverages
