As far as I am concerned, boys are more likely to be teachers' pets than girls, no matter when and where.In the acient, especially the fedual society, men and women aren't equal. It's so called "Nan Zun Nv Bei". In China, only boys can go to school and only men can be teachers. So of course boys are teacher's pets. In Europe, although girls can go to school, their lessons are different from boys'. The class of Europe is single sex. Girls are required to be ladies to satisfy men. They're regarded as tools. They have no qualification to be teachers' pets.And nowdays, nevertheless the world appeals to being equal between men and women, the sex-bias still exist. No matter the teachers are unconcious or intentianal, they always prefers calling on boys than girls. Then in experiment class, the teachers incline to make boys do experiment and make girls be assitants to put away the materials. Consequently, boys become more actively in class and girls become more silent and of course teachers like the active ones.
