请帮我看一下这题改写句子, 要改成用in spite of.
Although we took a map, we still lost our way.

*改成in spite of a map, 可以吗, 还是一定要in spite of the map / in spite of our map.

答：改成in spite of a map 可以。用the, our也行，但不是一定要，因为原句中用的就是a map
原句意：尽管我们拿了一张地图，我们还是迷路了。
in spite of sth. 可以理解成：although there is/was sth. 虽然存存着。。。，
如：In spite of the heavy rain, the sports meeting continued.
用the 是特指大家都知道的那场大雨。
就我所知，用介词in spite of 或despite时，后面常跟的是名词，少见动名词。
正老师说：不能 单独 用 a map 作in spite of 的宾语不知道有什么理论根据。可能是为了完全对应原句的意思吧。
