I'm terribly sorry that I have no choice but to ask for a month’s leave from 8thMay to 8thJune.
The reason is that my university, which is near theearthquake region, is affected to a certain extent by the recent earthquake in Sichuan, and resulted in changes of our graduation plan. Therefore I have to get back to university to modify my graduation exhibition scheme with my tutor, and to deal with various other matters including preparation of oral examination for graduation.

I am really sorry that I have to ask for one month leave (from the 8th of May to the 8th of June). The recent earthquake in Sichuan has some impact on my university.(my school/university is close to the earthquake area). This led to certain change of the graduation plan of our university. Therefore, I have to go back to the university and modify the graduation exhibition plan together with my mentor, as well as prepare the thesis reply for the graduation and so on.
