我以为旅途会很简单， 但这(旅途简单的想法）离事实差之甚远（有悖于真实情况，和事实相反的不能再相反了）。
所以后面应该表达的是“没有什么东西更偏离事实的了” ，“没有”是否定，所以选nothing。
30 选C
在旅途中，我开始在想，在汽车、火车、飞机让我们的生活如此便利之前，旅游必定是多么难啊。
must have been 是人对过去情况的比较肯定的推测，所以选C
should have been 是说过去应该怎样，但是事实没有怎样。比如“她昨天就应该把这个做完了，但是她没有。”
She should have finished it yesterday, but she didn't.

这句不选D，我认为不是语法错误。而是C更符合上文语境。上文他说他一开始以为旅行会比较简单，最后发现自己大错特错。上文用了一个nothing, 这句用must, 语气上比较对称。

30. C must have been说的是过去的事。I started thinking about how difficult it must have been to travel before.我开始感慨以前人们旅行一定是非常非常难。must have been一定是...，表判断。how difficult it must have been是感叹的意味，不是疑问。
should have been表示“应该已是（做）...，却没是（做）...”表埋怨，不表判断。
