Nowadays, original foreign textbooks are used in many universities. Maybe this is one of results of globalization, however, this may have both good and bad effects on either students and teachers.
As for the good ones, we know that English is an international language; it is a good way to improve our reading capacity. Besides, by using foreign textbooks, we can learn more about new science and technologies overseas correctly.
However, every coin has two sides, so there are also bad effects. If your English is not very good, it will be very hard to understand the foreign textbook. And it will cost more money to buy foreign textbooks.
In summary, I think it is a good idea for the students in college of English and postgraduate to use foreign textbooks but not for other students.
