Last year my English class was difficult.First of all,it wasn’t easy for me to understand the teacher when she talked.

去年我的英语课很难。首先，老师说话时我不容易听懂。

To begin with,she spoke too quickly,and I couldn’t understand every word.Later on,I realized that it doesn’t matter if you don’t understand every word.

首先，她说得太快了，我无法听懂每一个字。后来，我意识到，如果你不能听懂每一个字，那没关系。

I was also afraid to speak in class,because I thought my classmates might laugh at me.I couldn’t always make complete sentences either .

我也害怕在课堂上讲话，因为我想我的同学可能会嘲笑我。我也不能总是造出完整的句子。

Then I started to watch English-language TV.It helped a lot.I think that doing lots of listening practice is one of the secrets of beacoming a good learner.

然后我开始看英语电视。这对我帮助很大。我认为做大量的听力练习是成为一个好的学习者的秘诀之一。

Another thing that Ifound very difficult was English grammar.So I decided to take lots of grammar notes in every class.

另一件我觉得很难的事情是英语语法。所以我决定在每节课上记很多语法笔记。

The I started to write my own original sentences using the grammar I was learning.

最后，我开始用我正在学习的语法来写我自己的原创句子。

It’s amazing how much this helped.Now I am enjoying learning English and I got an A this term.My teacher is very impressed.

这对我的帮助真是太大了。现在我很喜欢学习英语，这学期我得了A。我的老师给我留下了深刻的印象。

I think the best way to learn English is to use it as much as possible. You can use English by working with friends, making flashcards, reading the textbook, listening to cassettes and asking the teacher for help and so on. You can read English magzines or memorize the words of pop songs to help you to learn new words, you can also join an English language club or practice conversations with friends to practice your pronunciation. If you want to get much writing practice, you'd better find a pen friend in the USA or in England. I think doing lots of listening practice is one of the secrets of becoming a good English learner.
