That was not long ago. I went to Zhuhai in Guangdong Province.
There was a beach walk with a name "Lovers' Street", so attractive to me that I walked down the steps and waded in the water. But, a big wave came, and I was washed into the ocean. Luckily, I knew how to swim, so I swam back to the shore. But, as soon as I got up the beach, some police stopped me, accusing me of trying to escape to Macao. That was funny. I told them I was American. I could go to Macao or Hongkong any time. But, they did not believe me. Finally, I had to take them to my hotel and showed them my passport. They left without a word. That was weird and unforgettable.
