The view that translation was impossible gained some currency ，and with it that ，if attempted at all ，it must be as literal as possible 。
请问第一个it 和 第二个 it 分别指代什么？ if 从句里省略了的主语是什么？ with it that 中的that 指代什么，这个是什么从句啊？

sorry，上面打错了。应该是view的两个同位语从句，也就是说第二个同位语从句也是前面view的同位语从句，只不过是距离远了点。
