分类讨论广泛地存在于中学数学的各类问题中，是历年来高考的重点。是按照数学对象的相同点和相异点将数学对象区分为不同种类的思想方法，分类讨论思想具有明显的逻辑特点，是解决问题的一种逻辑方法，也是一种数学思想，解这一类问题需要有一定的分析能力和分类技巧，这种思想对于简化研究对象，发展人的思维有着重要帮助。分类讨论体现了化整为零、积零为整的思想与归类整理的方法。有关分类讨论思想的数学问题具有明显的逻辑性、综合性、探索性，能训练人的思维条理性和概括性。 因分类讨论题覆盖知识点较多，本文通过对高中所学的特定知识点的分类讨论问题进行归纳总结，注重针对分类的原则、方法与技巧，对分类讨论问题的方法进行了总结。
