Telephone plays a very important role in the current society. It’s been regarded as one of the most valuable inventions in human history. Here I’m going to discuss the usefulness and limitations of it.
On the one hand, telephone makes the daily communication very convenient. Thanks to telephone, we would be able to speak to whoever we want to regardless of where he or she is simply by dialling a series of number while sitting comfortably at home. Telephone really makes the world smaller.
On the other hand, telephone greatly reduces the chances of face-to-face communication. Telephone is easy to use; as a result, we became lazy and less frequently get out meeting people and talking to them. If we rely on much on telephone, the friends we used to have a very close relationship with might gradually turn out to be strangers to us.
