My favourite food is sushi and oranges. 这句句子有没有文法上的错误呢? 文法上的错误 (1) In the sentence
there are o types of food (food here is an uncountable noun) - sushi and oranges. Therefore we do not use 'is' and have to use its plural form 'are'. 'oranges' is correctly used here as a type of food.(see reference web below for example) (2) On the other hand 'sushi' and 'oranges' are o different foods (food here is a countable noun). Therefore use 'My favourite foods' is better than 'My favourite food'.(see reference web below for example) The sentence is better written like this: My favourite foods are sushi and oranges.
