BOFT also said they would prefer to receive the registration by fax or by express courier service (e.g. DHL) and not by regular air mail, which will ensure the registration does not arrive too late. In any event BOFT will wait a few days after 22 July for the forms sent by airmail, but their preferred transmission means is by fax.
· With regard to the registration with the IBII, they expect the original registration forms sent only by air mail or by express courier service to arrive by 22 July in principle. However, IBII will also accept the forms sent by air mail with the postal stamp before 22 July and arriving at their offices a few days after 22 July. However, IBII cannot assure that the forms arriving too late (e.g. after 25 July) to be taken into account. Therefore we strongly recommend sending these forms well in advance of the 22 July deadline to make sure they will arrive on time, and preferably by courier service.
· BOFT confirmed that the government questionnaire for the EU and the Member States will be issued only after the process for the selection of the sample is completed.
· The Commission will be involved in the sampling process and will have sufficient time to submit comments on the sample proposal and on the methodology chosen by BOFT. The actual methodology for the selection of the sample will only be chosen when the registration process is completed.
