大神啊，我不看翻译怎么翻译不出来那一句“她认为这是悲伤所致”，怎么理解这句话？有什么窍门或者语法之类的？

这句话有语法错，也写得乱。 语法错误：grief 是名词，若不加冠词的话，不能用在was 后面。 恰当的词应该是，She thought it was sad.
恰恰也是这句话(无论是grief还是sad)，有人把它错误地翻译为：“她认为这是悲伤所致”。 正确的翻译应该为： 她认为这是个悲剧/她认为这正是令她伤心的事。

从整段话来讲，她丈夫的死和她自己的病状转换太快，容易让人产生误解。 严格来讲，这不是地道的英文。根据理解，可以这样修改。Since her husband died about three years ago, her symptoms continued. She felt sad that her symptoms were not going to get better. or

it 是代词，你会联想到它代替的是什么？在前面的句子中你会发现，it代替的是the sympotoms，
也就是说，症状是悲伤，那么重新捋一下句子的主谓宾，脑袋里重新编排一下，结合语境，症状其实是悲伤所致，心病。
