In 1983, beyond band was set up as the lead singer and made its debut with the English song "mansion". In 1986, he began to write songs in Cantonese; In the same year, he released his first album "goodbye, ideal" with the band.
1983年组建Beyond乐队，担任主唱，并以英文歌曲《大厦》出道。1986年开始用粤语创作歌曲；同年随乐队发行首张专辑《再见理想》。
