My favorite TV progam is "The World Today", which is shown on Saturday evenings.
This program is like a wonderful window, through which I can see the beautiful and exciting world. It provides me with the latest development in affairs of the world. It also gives me a vivid picture of what have been going on and what have happened in the world. From the Gulf War to the civil war in Yugoslavia, from the peace talks in the Middle East to the military maneuvers in America, you nearly can be an expert in international affairs with the information offered in this prograin.
I like this program not only because of its abundant and latest news, but also its analysis of our present world and prospects for the future. From it, I learn more about mankind itself. It gives me intelligence.

When first heard this program from the senior school English textbook, I was totally addicted to it. It’s called Yang Lan Studio, which featured pointed interviews with business and media luminaries, but with time passed its emphasis is on profiling modern innovators. According to Yang’s explanation, its goal was to “describe the individuals, their way of life and character through flesh and blood experiences.”
I like this program most because I could learn many things from it. First, the questions raised by Yang are always very meaningful and not so easy to answer, but the interviewees can sometimes give a humorous or tactful answer which made me completely admiring. Moreover, Yang sometimes will interview with some foreign celebrity, like Hilary Cliton and Phelps, which can at the same time practice my abbility of listening and word-using.
All in all, I like this program very much and hope it can be better and better.
