高一英语书上有疑惑，请各位网友帮忙！

高一书上 说：but they said that is ok because they are proud of me.
我认为 said 之后 是一个宾语从句，初中时讲的 宾语从句中的时态受 主句的影响，我觉得宾语从句应变为：that was ok because they were proud of me !
what kind of parent are you to allow your son to be rude to his grandparents?虽然说 这句话我明白是什么意思，但我不明白他的结构，这是什么句式？
