这是『世说新语·栖逸』上关于刘驎之的故事。
【原文】赠贶甚厚。驎之闻命，便升舟，悉不受所饷，缘道以乞穷乏。
【白话】（荆州刺史桓冲）给（刘驎之）的礼物很丰厚。刘驎之接到桓冲的邀请后，欣然上了来接他的船。一路之上，把给他的礼物分发给穷困乞讨有需要的人。
【英文】Prefecture Huan Chong of JingZhou arranged a boat for Liu LinZhi as transportation and accommodation, loaded with lavish gifts. Once receiving the invitation, Liu LinZhi was abroad the boat for him. Along the way, he distributed, instead of keeping up, all gifts to the beggars, the poor or whoever was in need.
