Dear John,

Thank you for your letter. For your request of introducing our school I can reply the following:

I am studying at Chaoyang High School in Beijing, and am in my last year. This is a medium sized school with a roll of only about 2000 students. On the other hand, we have all the facilities here: The classroom buildings, the chemistry and physics labs, a computer center, and a language theater. There is an observatory and three workshops for metal, wood and textile materials on the campus. We have also a large library, an auditorium and a full function gym plus a swimming pool.

Being in this year for just one month, we are already in full throttle in the preparation of college entrance examinations. I will write you next time to describe the academic and extracurricular life here. Write me back when you have time.
