Transition from childhood to adulthood
On March 13, 2003, Father told me Mother was badly ill. My heart sank after I knew about it.Two days later , Mother was sent to the People's Hospital. When she was in hospital ,I felt anxious about her.At school,I couldn't put my heart into my lessons,sometimes I became absent-minded in class.Then I realised I couldn't go on like this because I was a student in Grade 3 of a senior school and I was going to take the entrance examination. I shoud arouse myself.I should try my best to be pride of my Mother ,not let her worry about me and helped her recover qiuckly.
During May Day holiday, I went to the hospital to take care of Mother. I told her what great progress I had made in school and how worried I was about her ! Mother smiled from the bottom of her heart and she tried to give me a big hug but failed. In the hospital,I did what I could to help her: I fetched meals ,cleaned the room,washed the dirty clothes and I even sang some popular songs in a low voice,which made Mother and other patients smile!
On may 4, Mother was given a 12 -hour's long operation. At that moment,I felt like crying.
When Mother was sent back to the sickroom safely, I was almost jumping with joy!
Now Mother is safe and sound and I really caught the meaning of "Blood is thicker than water". I learned a lot . I have found that I am a man both in body and mind from now on!
