这道题怎么讲（英语）

I have written a great many letters to her and fortunately the opportunity for a date I had been looking forward to （came） at last 我知道and连接的是并列的 动词时态应该一致 关键是如果我班同学问我 为什么不选coming 我怎么解释？（本人高一英语课代表 明天第一次讲题 求不坑啊.）

所以你可以删繁去简，先去掉定语，【fortunately the opportunity for a date（came） at last 】，然后再找出句子主干。。。就不会那么混乱了，，，
【for a date 是解释the opportunity 的内容，即告知读者这是一个什么样的机会】
后面一句最简单的形式是：opportunity came at last. 【主语+谓语】【最后机会终于来了】
为何不是coming.......是因为你没分析好句子结构，这一方面技能需要加强，个人觉得这个很重要。。。。

这个句子的结构是这样的 fortunately the opprtunity for a date(i had been looking forward to)came at last中间那个是定语从句本来应该由which或者that引导构成 which/that i had been looking forward to但是这个引导词在这里是宾语因为这个从句按正常表达的话顺序应该是 i had been looking forward to which/that（就是指代的这个opportunity for date)当引导词作宾语时可以在从句中省略 中间那个从句并不影响整个句子，整个句子简化后是 the opprtunity for a date came at last ,come本来做的是主句的动词，因为过去式变为came，因为它在主句中，所以我们可以说它跟从句毛线关系没有，更不可能接上look forward to doing sth.我这样解释，一个是主句，一个是从句，根本就不在一个次元中，所以come不会受从句look forwar to的影响
