This morning I went to the market to b uy some vegetables with my parents. O n the way we all highly praised a young man in western-style clothes and leath er shoes who was riding by. But he rod e so fast that he knocked an old lady do wn carelessly.Instead of stopping, he pr etended not to see this and rode away quickly. We were all very angry with the young man. To our happiness, a girl in plain dress ran forward at once, helped the lady up and took her home. We all praised the girl.

From this we know we cannot judge a p erson by his appearance. A person who is dressed beautifully may not have a b eautiful soul. Only a person who has a beautiful soul is really beautiful.

二、A Shining Star(一颗闪亮的星)

A good teacher is like a shining star to s tudents. Miss Li,my senior middle scho ol English teacher, is a shining star in m y life.

When I began my senior middle school years, I had difficulty in learning Englis h. I dared not speak English aloud in pu blic because of my poor pronunciation and intonation.I could not get high mar ks and grammar was not right at all.Afr aid of being lanughed at,I never put up my hand to answer questions in Englis h class.When Miss Li found out my situ ation,she encouraged me and lent me a hand,which rapidly improved my Englis h.With her help,I became interested in English and eventually got high marks.

Miss Li,like a shining star,shines in my path of success.

三、Weekends(周末) Weekends to people mean that people can have two days' rest. They can go ou t or get together at home.

Everybody spends weekends in his own way. Some people relax themselves by listening to music, reading in libraries o r doing sports outdoors. In a word, diff erent people have different relaxations.

I often spend weekends with my family. Sometimes my parents take me to visit our relatives. Sometimes we go swimmi ng or go dancing and sometimes I go to read some instructive books. I often enj oy myself at weekends.

Playing computer games takes the teen agers too much time these days. So I th ink computer games should be done a way with. They are nothing but a waste of time, money and energy. Teenagers should do valuable things like reading, studying and going to concerts and mu seums.

Computer games are bad for both the physical and mental health of the youn g.The computer games rooms are very dark, noisy, and the content are unheal thy and violent, and so on.

Therefore, computer games arcades sh ould be banned fi'om cities and towns.

电子游戏

打电子游戏花费青少年太多的时间，所以 我认为电子游戏应该被取缔。它们只是浪 费金钱、时间和精力。十几岁的青少年应 该做像读书、学习、听音乐会、去博物馆 等重要的事情。

电子游戏对青少年的身心健康都有不良的 影响。电子游戏室光线黑暗，吵闹，游戏 内容不健康、充满暴力等等。

因此，电子游戏厅应该从城镇被取缔。 五、 No Breakfast No Good(不吃早餐不好)

Now a lot of students go to school in a hurry so that they have no time to have breakfast. But not having breakfast will do harm to their health and their study.

Having no breakfast will throw the nor mal work of our digestive system into c onfusion. As a result, it will do harm to our health. And at our age it is high tim e for us to grow up. So our bodies are i n great need of energy. If we don't hav e breakfast,there will be not enough en ergy to supply. This may stunt our grow th.

What's more, it is a long period betwee n breakfast and lunch. Breakfast provid es us with the energy needed for the cl ass. Without breakfast we cannot get al ong well with our classes. So for the sak e of our health and our study, we must have breakfast.

不吃早餐不好

现在很多学生上学很匆忙，以至于没有时 间吃早餐，但不吃早餐会有害于学生的健 康和学习。

A true friend is someone who reaches f or your hand and touches your heart. T here's always going to be people that h urt you, so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful ab out who you trust next time around. Make yourself a better person and kno w who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you. Remember: Whatever happens, happen s for a reason. How many people actually have 8 true f riends? Hardly anyone I know. But som e of us have all-right friends and good f riends.

oday was realiy boring.I went nowhere,I just stayed at home because the weather was rainy.The rain was raining heavily in the sky.And there was much dirty water on the ground.
I watched TV,but all the shows were long and long soap operas.I didn't like them!Then I read a book,but they were too difficult for me.So I couldn't get it！Computer games were also difficult and boring...
In short,the day was boring.I flet so bad!
my daily life 我的日常生活 though my daily life is extremely monotonous, i try hard to adapt myself to it. why? because i intend to be a good student. i wish to render service to my country. i get up at six o’clock every day. after i wash my face and brush my teeth, i begin to review my lessons. i go to school at seven o’clock. after schoolis over, i return home. we usually have supper at seven o’clock.then i begin to do my homework. i want to finish it before i go to bed.
